Newsfeeds. You can subscribe to receive updates on your favorite news reader. A news reader will automatically update when new content is posted. There are many newsreader options, web-based, downloadable, or via email. GVP does not endorse any particular reader or application. |

General news about GVP. Examples include announcements of new issues of the Bulletin of the Global Volcanism Network, and data updates.

| Weekly Volcanic Activity Report |
The RSS version of the Weekly Volcanic Activity Report provides content identical to the website version minus some features including the header information (eg. summit elevation), and the Geologic Summary. GeoRSS tags giving latitude and longitude are included. There is also a CAP Feed (Common Alerting Protocol) available for emergency management organizations. |

This Facebook page will carry general GVP news items, eruption reports, additional links, and allows for comments. Users may share volcano photos. The Weekly Report newsfeed is also available on this page.

Google Earth. Data and reports are available as Google Earth placemarks. The Google Earth software must be downloaded and installed. |
| Holocene Volcanoes |
Placemark file of the Holocene Volcanoes (those active in the last 10,000 years). Display balloons show a photo (when available), geographic data, and links to more detailed information from the GVP and volcano observatories, or other websites focusing on regional volcanoes. This is a Network Link file that will check for updated content every week. |
